Terms and Conditions
The terms that apply when you use this website, subscribe to our newsletter or book services with Active Health Recover.
Acceptance of these terms
These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of the Active Health Recover website and the information, forms and communications offered through it. By using this website, submitting a form, subscribing to our newsletter or booking services with us, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.
Use of the website
- You agree to use this website lawfully and not to interfere with its operation, security or availability.
- You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site, our systems or other users’ information.
- You agree not to use automated tools to scrape, copy or republish substantial portions of our content.
- We may suspend, withdraw or change any part of the website without notice, including content, forms and features.
The website does not provide medical advice
All content on this website — including articles, service descriptions and answers to frequently asked questions — is general health education. It is not a diagnosis, a treatment plan or a substitute for consultation with a qualified clinician who knows your history.
- Never delay seeking professional care because of something you have read here.
- Do not disregard advice you have already received from a clinician based on website content.
- In an emergency, or if you have severe symptoms such as chest pain, difficulty breathing, sudden weakness or severe bleeding, contact your local emergency services immediately.
Appointments and cancellations
- Appointment requests submitted through this website or by email are requests only; an appointment is confirmed when our team confirms it to you.
- Please give us reasonable notice if you need to cancel or reschedule, so the time can be offered to another patient.
- We may need to reschedule appointments due to clinician illness, emergencies or circumstances beyond our control. We will tell you as soon as possible and offer an alternative.
- Repeated missed appointments without notice may affect future booking arrangements or incur an administrative fee, which would be explained to you in advance.
Fees, insurance and payment
- We verify insurance benefits where possible and explain costs before treatment begins. Benefit estimates are based on information provided by your insurer and are not a guarantee of payment.
- You remain responsible for any balance your insurer does not cover, including copayments, deductibles and non-covered services.
- Self-pay pricing is available on request. Payment terms and accepted payment methods will be explained when you book.
- Where you instruct us to submit a claim on your behalf, you authorise us to share the information necessary to process that claim.
Telehealth and prescriptions
- Some consultations can be provided by secure video. Your clinician will advise when an in-person visit is necessary.
- Telehealth suitability depends on your location, the nature of your concern and applicable law. You may be asked to confirm your location at the start of a virtual visit.
- Prescriptions, referrals and investigations are provided only where clinically appropriate following a proper assessment, and are subject to applicable laws and regulations.
- Technology can fail. If a virtual visit cannot proceed, we will contact you to reschedule or offer an alternative.
Newsletter and electronic communications
- By subscribing, you consent to receive our newsletter and clinic updates at the email address you provide.
- Every newsletter includes a way to update your preferences or unsubscribe, or you can use our unsubscribe page.
- Communications related to your care, appointments and billing are not marketing and are sent independently of your newsletter preferences.
- Email is convenient but not perfectly secure. Please avoid sending sensitive clinical information by ordinary email.
Intellectual property
The design of this website, our written content, illustrations, logos, brand name and other materials are owned by or licensed to Active Health Recover and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may read, print and share our articles for your own personal, non-commercial use, provided the content is not altered and our authorship is acknowledged. Any other use, including republication, commercial exploitation or systematic copying, requires our prior written permission.
Content you send us
- You confirm that information you submit through our forms is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
- You agree not to submit unlawful, misleading, abusive or harmful content, or content that infringes anyone else’s rights.
- You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share any information you send to us, including information about another person.
- Testimonials submitted to us may be published with your permission, and we will seek your consent before using your name.
Third-party links and services
Our website may link to third-party sites or embed third-party services such as maps. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content, availability or practices of third parties, and a link does not imply endorsement.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
- The website and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. While we take care to keep information accurate and current, we do not warrant that it is error-free, complete or suitable for your particular circumstances.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the website.
- Nothing in these terms limits our liability for professional clinical services, which is governed by the applicable standard of care and by law, nor excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey and applicable federal law of the United States. Any dispute relating to the website will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of New Jersey, unless applicable law provides otherwise. If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, technology or legal obligations. The version published on this page is the current version, and continued use of the website after an update means you accept the revised terms.
